“Stewart’s Cruise” July 10, 2013 – Ed Kelly Cruise Leader

Another great CJCC cruise!

Our club cruise took place even though the weather forecast changed by the minute during the day.

We had 13 beautiful Corvettes meet at 25 Burgers in Flemington. The group included C-3, C-4, C-5, and C-6 Corvettes and the colors were a dazzling array of yellow, black, silver, blue and red. Some of the group had their tops down or off even though it was quite hot and there could have been a "pop-up" shower. Fortunately the weather held beautifully. We were pleased to have a new member applicant, Bob Brunn, participate with his newly acquired 1999 Silver C-5. This 'vette had only just over 2,000 miles on the clock and had been in a climate controlled garage for many years. It was like new and a real find for Bob.

Ed Kelly was our cruise leader and he distributed the route to the drivers and we had our group photo taken by Joann. He took the group through some of the "major metropolises" of Hunterdon County, viz. Flemington, Ringoes, Hopewell and Lambertville. We broke the cruise into two sections with me leading the second group. Mitch S. acted as "tail gunner". We had a number of stop lights and signs to negotiate but the group stayed together very well. Joann K. gave clear instructions from her lead car which was great. Also Joann and others took many pictures which we should be seeing on the web soon. We received our 15% discount cards for the Ice Cream Parlor and had an enjoyable time there.

Thanks Ed and Joann and all the participants for a great evening our and a very scenic and interesting cruise.
