An update on the cruise to Kinnelon.

We have 14 cars registered for this cruise and BBQ.  Bruce and I have finalized the route.  While we will have a drivers meeting at the starting point I thought a review here would be a good thing.

It is a long cruise about 48 miles which should take about 100 minutes including a 10 minute bathroom stop midway at  Hedden park on Reservoir Road in Randolph.  We attempted to avoid all major roads and congested areas wherever possible.  However there will be some issue getting through downtown Dover.  After going through Dover we go onto Rt15 and pick up Route 80 East for two exits (2.5 miles) and take exit 37 to Hibernia.  Should we get split up in Dover, (and I expect we will) we will regroup at the Dunkin Donuts on Green Pond Road (12 Green Pond Rd, Rockaway, NJ 07866 RT. 513) across the street from the Hibernia Diner. Detailed driving instructions are attached with maps.  Most of the other roads are scenic, quiet and some with quite a few curves.  When we arrive at Smoke Rise (the community I live in) we will go through the visitor gate.  From there it is about 10 minutes to my house.  The speed limit in the community is 30 mph please try to observe it.

The starting point is Shoprite of Branchburg (3166 Route 22, Branchburg).

Drivers meeting will be at 11:00 AM.  Tail lights @ 11:15.

We should arrive between 12:45 and 1:00 PM.

I will be serving lunch with a variety of food catered from a local deli.  There will be both hot and cold choices.  While I will have some adult beverages, if there is some other adult drink that your wish to bring, by all means please do so.  Some of you have asked if there is anything that you can bring.  If there is some desert item that you want to contribute that would be welcome.  Otherwise we will have plenty of food and drink.

I am looking forward to the cruise and having all of you at my home.  Thanks for coming.

Any questions please call or e-mail.

Regards,

Robert
