First Wednesday" Cruise
September 3, 2014
Leader Ed K.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2014 a number of club members met at “25 Burgers” in Flemington at 6:00pm. Some of the early arrivals decided to grab a bite to eat while others mingled in the parking lot catching up on current events and meeting some new members who joined us for their first “Wednesday” cruise with tail lights approximately 6:15pm.
The weather was sunny and in the mid 80’s with 16 corvettes ready to go. I was the lead car with our president, Mike Woskey, mid way keeping a watchful eye on me with specific instructions not to turn on any tar and gravel roads. Sheila and Jerry volunteered to be tail gunner helping to make sure we all stayed together.
The cruise consisted of back roads in Raritan Township working our way toward Whitehouse Station. As we continued on more back roads we had the benefit of a delightful view as we went around Round Valley Reservoir and Recreation area as the sun was setting. We continued on some quaint roads with narrow bridges to test our driving abilities. Dusk was now upon us as we proceeded toward our final destination “Thee Ice Cream Parlor” on S. Main Street in Flemington.
Thanks to all who joined Joann and I on another memorable cruise.
