December 1, 2012
Dear Fellow CJCC Members:
Last evening our Club hosted our last 2012 event, our annual Holiday Party and Cut Throat Grab Bag. It was held at Brunello’s just outside of Flemington. We had 34 partygoers.
I hope everyone had as good time as Anne Marie and I did. The room was very nicely set up, with six tables each seating 6. The fire was going in the large fireplace making it cozy and festive and our club banner was installed in a prominent place. Some of us had our pictures taken in front of it. Joann Kelly and Joan Clarkson (with help from Ed and Bill, I’m sure) did a great job coordinating everything.
I was pleased to be able to thank the many members who were faithful meeting attendees and who have led or otherwise contributed to our many events this year. Also I was pleased to confer special Certificates of Thanks on behalf of our Club to Kathy Carbone for her service over the last three years as Club Secretary and to Joan Clarkson for her many years as the “behind the scenes” person who provided the Freeholders conference room for our meetings.
I was also pleased that we had a number of our newer members attending and some members came from quite a distance to be there. I was glad to see them.
As usual the Cut Throat Grab Bag was a highlight and a lot of fun. Thanks to Joel for taking over the emcee/referee duties on this as my voice was just about gone when it started. Joann and Joan provided a beautiful door prize.
We hope everyone got home safely and will enjoy the holidays.
